The CCD incorporates sixteen rows of sixteen element analogue multiplexers. Direct charge injection into the CCD channel is achieved via an array of pads on the top of the CCD which are bonded directly to the pyroelectric, currently with an array of screen printed epoxy resin dots. A solder bonding technique is preferred, but is still under development. The detector array is intended to be ...
A theoretical model of uncooled focal plane array (UFPA) based on pyroelectric thin film integrated with CCD is proposed. The model of UFPA was designed around the heat balance equations and ...
Abstract A room-temperature-operated CCD infrared-image sensor having 64 × 32 elements has been developed by combining a pyroelectric LiTaO3 single crystal and a Si CCD. A LiTaO3 plate is attached to the Si CCD with liquid glycerin, which has a large dielectric constant, low thermal conductivity and high insulation, and controls the MOS gate for charge injection.
The monolithic pyroelectric array is made of a modified lead zirconate ceramic with element size 216μm square on a 256μm pitch. The CCD incorporates sixteen rows of sixteen element analogue multiplexers. Direct charge injection into the CCD channel is achieved via an array of pads on the top of the CCD which are bonded directly to the pyroelectric, currently with an array of screen printed epoxy resin …

A pyroelectric plate is bonded to the Si CCD with an organic dielectric, and controls the Si surface potential of the MOS gate. The ability of the pyroelectric MOS gate to control the Si surface potential as a function of the IR signal is analyzed by taking account of both electrical charge and heat transfer. From this analysis, the design of the infrared sensing element is optimized. The ...

· Two types of infrared image sensors have been developed by combining a pyroelectric plate with an Si FET array and an Si CCD, respectively. One is an image sensor in which a pyroelectric LiTaO 3 plate is bonded to an Si FET array of 64 × 64 elements by indium bumps. The other is an LiTaO 3 or PZT plate connected to an Si CCD of 64 × 32 elements by a dielectric connector.

13-355nm and µm - Pyroelectric Array Camera ... The Pyrocam sensor is capable of operation with intensities about 100 times greater than CCD cameras. This makes the camera ideal for use with high power lasers, as less attenuation is required. Nevertheless, pulsed lasers with fluence too high can evaporate the absorbing front electrode. As shown the damage threshold increases ...
