· On the stock engine in my 86 there was a temp sensor on the thermo housing but on the 1991 engine I bought to replace it there wasn't one. I also bought a spare intake from a 1993 that came with the lower intake/thermo housing and once again no sensor. I think the 85-89 had em and maybe after that they moved the sensor somewhere else.
